Andrea Fernández Conde is Deputy General Director of Dissemination and Public Information Services at Mexico’s National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), where she leads national strategies on data dissemination, digital transformation, and data governance. She has over 15 years of experience designing user-centred, evidence-based data products that strengthen transparency, trust, and informed public decision-making.
Trained as an applied mathematician, data scientist, and political scientist, her work sits at the intersection of data systems, technology, and public policy. She is particularly interested in the governance of data and emerging technologies in the public sector, including the implications of artificial intelligence for official statistics and public trust.
