Jean-Martin Dénis is Lead Data Steward at the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, working at the intersection of data governance, digital transformation, and public policy within Switzerland’s confederated administrative system and the energy sector. He chairs the SFOE Data Governance Board and contributes to interdepartmental data governance initiatives supporting national digitalisation and open government data.
With over ten years of academic experience—including teaching applied statistics at Bachelor and Master levels—and advanced training in statistics and data science (MITx MicroMasters), he brings strong analytical expertise to public-sector governance. His work focuses on developing applied governance approaches that support the mission of public administrations and align organisational, process, and technology layers to enable human-centred, efficient, and value-creating digital administration.
