Liesje Klomp is an experienced international relations and data governance professional currently serving as Chief Data Officer and Manager of the Data Competence Centre at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Her diplomatic career includes serving as Counsellor at the Political and Security Department at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the EU and NATO and as First Secretary in the Political Department at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Washington D.C. Earlier, she worked in various policy and advisory roles within The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including as Policy Advisor to the Director General Political Affairs, Head of Political, Press, and Cultural Affairs in Buenos Aires, and Policy Officer.
She combines her expertise in international affairs, security, and data-driven policymaking to advance the strategic use of data within public institutions and global governance frameworks.
