2. Participation Confirmation and Payment Terms
Please inform the organisers by 15 December 2025 if there are any issues that may affect your ability to confirm participation or complete payment on time.
Confirmation of participation is required by this date. Lack of confirmation may result in your place being offered to an applicant on the reserve list. Full payment must be received before the programme start date. Failure to complete payment or enrol in the programme by that time will result in the offer being withdrawn permanently and may affect the outcome of any future applications to The Digital Statecraft Academy.
3. Programme Schedule and Cambridge Residency
The Cambridge residency will take place from 19 to 25 April 2026. Accommodation for 6 nights will be provided, including breakfast, lunch, and tea/coffee services.
Fellows are expected to make necessary arrangements in advance to attend in person during this period.
In-person participation is a mandatory component of the programme. Due to the nature of the training, remote or online attendance will not be available and sessions will not be repeated or recorded for later participation.
4. Visa and Travel Arrangements
Fellows are responsible for securing their own UK visa (if required) and arranging their own travel for the Cambridge residency week. The programme organisers will provide official invitation letters to support visa applications upon request.
5. Attendance and Availability
Fellows are expected to participate fully in all scheduled sessions, both online and in person.
Online sessions will be organised in small groups to ensure interactive engagement. Fellows should inform the organisers as early as possible of any foreseeable scheduling conflicts.
Active participation is an essential part of the DSA experience. Fellows who miss a significant portion of the sessions may not be eligible to receive a completion certificate at the end of the programme.
6. Refunds, Withdrawals, and Liability
Participation fees are non-refundable once enrollment is confirmed. Refunds or deferrals will not be granted for inability to attend, including but not limited to visa issues, travel restrictions, or personal scheduling conflicts. Participants are encouraged to obtain appropriate insurance to cover potential losses related to travel, visa, or other unforeseen circumstances.
The organisers accept no responsibility for delays, disruptions, or modifications arising from circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to visa delays, travel restrictions, or other force majeure events.
7. Communication and Networking
To facilitate collaboration, fellows’ contact details (name, surname, email addresses) may be shared within relevant programme groups and contacts.
Additionally, biographical information and photographs provided by fellows may be used for cohort introductions, programme communications, and DSA network visibility.
8. Availability and Scheduling Information
Fellows are encouraged to share their availability and working calendars in advance to support efficient scheduling of cohort and mentorship sessions.
9. Engagement with the DSA and Partner Networks
Fellows will have opportunities to engage with members of The Digital Statecraft Academy, Data for Policy CIC, University of Cambridge, CSaP (Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy) and other programme partners’ networks as relevant.
Fellows may indicate preferred connections or institutions of interest, but matching cannot be guaranteed.
10. Language Proficiency
The programme is conducted entirely in English. Fellows are expected to have sufficient English proficiency to participate fully in discussions, readings, and assignments. The organisers do not provide additional language support services.
Fellows are responsible for ensuring that any outputs they produce as part of the programme meet high standards of clarity and language quality.
11. Code of Conduct and Professional Behaviour
Fellows are expected to maintain professional standards of conduct throughout the programme, including during online sessions, in-person events, and communications with peers, mentors, and partner institutions. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate or disruptive may result in removal from the programme.
12. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
All materials produced or shared during the Fellowship (e.g., policy drafts, prototypes, or research ideas) remain the property of the respective fellows unless otherwise agreed in writing. Fellows are expected to respect confidentiality and intellectual property rights of peers, mentors, and partner institutions.
13. Data Protection and Privacy
All personal data will be processed in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Fellows consent to the collection and use of their personal information for programme administration and communication purposes. For further information, see our Data Protection Policy.
14. Amendments and Updates
The organisers reserve the right to make reasonable amendments to the programme schedule, format, or content where necessary. Fellows will be informed in advance of any significant changes.
