Programme Structure

120 hours of structured engagement spread across four quarters, designed to be manageable for professionals/executives in post whilst delivering a substantial and transformative learning experience.

Q1: Foundation & Network Building (30 hours | Programme-led)
Comprehensive onboarding establishing cohort foundations and integration into global Data for Policy and Cambridge networks. Includes structured introductory sessions, strategic introductions to 15-20 key practitioners aligned with research interests, positioning workshops, and formation of regional peer clusters for ongoing collaboration.

Q2: Intensive Training Residency (30 hours | Cambridge-based)
Three core modules delivered during the Cambridge residency:

  • Module 1: Systems Thinking for AI-Enabled Governance – Advanced strategic frameworks for digital transformation in complex governance environments
  • Module 2: Technology Comprehension & Capacity Building – Specialised knowledge across DPI, Data-for-Policy, Algorithmic Government, and GovTech with hands-on experience
  • Module 3: From Vision to Implementation – Applied methodologies for turning strategic vision into deliverable outcomes

Q3: Individual Project Development & Mentorship (30 hours | Fellow-led with structured support)
Intensive project development with expert guidance, personalised mentorship from academic and practitioner networks, publication pathway support, and strategic connections with implementation partners. Includes peer review processes and collaborative working groups.

Q4: Project Delivery & Assessment (30 hours | Fellow-led with structured support)
Project completion across diverse formats (policy workshops, publications, prototypes, implementation frameworks) with comprehensive programme evaluation. Includes reflective documentation, cohort assessment workshop, and structured alumni transition into ongoing Data for Policy networks.
