DSA Cambridge Fellowship
The public sector faces an unprecedented skills gap in data science and AI adoption at precisely the moment when these technologies are fundamentally reshaping society. The Digital Statecraft Academy, in strategic collaboration with Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP), Cambridge University Press, GovLab, Microsoft, Data for Policy (DfP), and the Centre for Digital Public Infrastructure (CDPI), presents the DSA Cambridge Fellowship to address this critical challenge.
This prestigious programme cultivates a global network of influential decision-makers equipped to spearhead innovative, responsible AI and data-driven governance whilst building sustainable partnerships across government, industry, and academia. Designed for senior public leaders and policy professionals, the Fellowship combines intensive training, applied project work, and access to leading academics and practitioners worldwide. Fellows emerge as transformational leaders capable of tackling the most complex policy challenges of our time, equipped with the expertise, networks, and vision to harness AI responsibly while preserving democratic values and institutional accountability.

This 12-month hybrid programme includes
- Capstone project – Fellows develop solutions for pressing regional challenges aligned with their institutional contexts
- Exclusive week-long Cambridge residency – Immersive training with world-renowned experts
- Hybrid Learning Sessions – Workshops combining the DSA curriculum with expertise from leading international practitioners and academic experts
- Tailored networking and expert engagement – Structured access to leading academics, practitioners, and strategic connections within the global fellowship ecosystem throughout the year
- Global visibility and impact – Presentation opportunities at the prestigious Data for Policy international conference, public webinars, and partner networks
- Publication pathway – Support from Cambridge University Press for disseminating research findings
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded at the end of the programme. Fellows will also join our Fellowship Alumni Network for ongoing collaboration, leadership development, and professional opportunities beyond the 12-month programme.
